It looks like I will have to find a new solution now as the one feature I really need has been removed from the "free" standard edition. I have been beta testing this product for quite awhile now and I really like it. However, I am just an enthusiast running an Esxi (Free Edition) server in my home and can't really justify spending $149.00 + $104.00 yearly to backup my "free" VMWare images. I rely on the email notifications to let me know when my backups completed. For me, this is a "must have" feature.

We completely understand your position, but just to clarify: the $104 annual maintenance is optional.

Licenses for vBackup are perpetual, non-expiring and include one year of free upgrades. If the version you purchase works for you there is no need to upgrade - unless you want to.
