Can you please confirm that you are running VMware vCenter Converter Standalone version 5.0.1 on your vBackup server? This is the only supported version in vBackup 0.3.1.

thank you...I am using the newer version of vcenter converter standalone version 5.1....that must be what the issue is. Actually for restores I find that it is just as easy to use the vmware converter as via the Thinware interface.
