Error message when running backup: "CRITICAL: Unable to copy virtual machine configuration file. The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found."

Using vBackup 0.3.0.2073 (PR2) against ESXi free 5.1.0 (build 799733)

Error occurs using both Backup-Image-SSH-SCP and Backup-Image-SSH-VVDM

I have ~30 VMs across 2 hosts - all backup without any issues apart from 1.

Many thanks.

We are looking into this and will reply back with our findings.

Can you verify that all of the virtual machine's files are in the same folder?

Is there anything different about this virtual machine as compared to the others that are working?

Thank you,

vBackup Team

All VM files exist in a single directory. I have 3 other nearly identical VMs running on the same host which backup without any issues.
Thanks.

Can you try to unregister and reregister the virtual machine?

1) Open vSphere Client and shut down the virtual machine
2) Right-click the virtual machine in the inventory tree and click "Remove from Inventory"
3) On the configuration tab for the host server, click Storage under hardware
4) Right-click the datastore the virtual machine is stored on and click "Browse Datastore..."
5) Browse to the folder the virtual machine's files are stored in, right-click the VMX file and click "Add to Inventory"
6) Complete the Add to Inventory wizard, power the virtual machine back on and try the backup job again

Thank you for working with us on this. We will figure it out. Please let us know how the above works out.

Thank you,

vBackup Team
