I trying to backup virtual machine from ESXi 5.1.0 (free license) server with vBackup Client v.0.2.1, binary updated to v.0.3.0.2073. I create backup job, change type manually to "Backup-Image-SSH-VVDM", run and get an error.

The error you are receiving seems to be coming from inadequate permissions for the user account you are using to connect to the ESXi host. Please review the following tables and verify that the privileges for user "dmitriy" match the requirements. You can also try connecting to the ESXi host under the root account to verify this.

Required Permissions to Complete a Backup:
Privilege Category Privilege Subcategory Privilege
Virtual Machine Provisioning Allow Virtual Machine Download
State Create Snapshot
Remove Snapshot
Configuration Disk Lease

Required permissions to complete a restore:
Privilege Category Privilege Subcategory Privilege
Virtual Machine Inventory Create
Remove
Configuration Settings
Change Resource
Resource Assign Virtual Machine to Resource Pool

Thank you,

vBackup Team
