My situation meets only one of this criteria (thick provisioned) and still fails. My storage is local to the vBackup host.

Do you have a large amount of free space on the thick provisioned disks?

What's considered large?
sda1 (28G) has 15G available 46% use
sdb1 (79G) has 32G available 59% use

Hi,
we have the same problem with commpression level set to "none". Our problem is, that OS with vBackup run as VM. HDD for writing backups is local HDD in ESXi server, but it seems, that writing operations to virtual disk (despite the fact that it is local drive) is too slow for backuping without compression.
Any idea to use Standard edition of ThinWare vBackup running on virtual machine?

I have the same problem, but there is free space on the disk
