Hi,

I am testing Thinware vBackup 4.0.3 Standard Edition (Installed on a Win2008R2 64b) to backup ESXi 6.0 free edition.
I followed the steps: http://www.thinware.net/Portals/0/Downloads/vBackup/vBackup_QuickStartGuide.pdf

I receive the error message when trying to validat the conenction to Host Server: the underlying connection was closed...bla,bla,bla....

I can ping the server, I can SSH to the server.

Could anyone assist?

Thanks.

Worked with user. Found that SSLv3 and TLSv1.0 are disabled on ESXi host server. TLSv1.2 support is required as part of organization's internal security requirements.

Thinware vBackup 4.0.x does not support TLSv1.2.

Thinware vBackup 5.0 does support TLSv1.2.

Recommended solution: Make sure appropriate .Net Framework patches are installed (as required to support TLSv1.2) and upgrade to Thinware vBackup 5.0.
